Summary:
This article is a transcript of the author’s presentation at the 3rd Biennial of Film and Psychoanalysis, which took place at Aix-Marseille University in March 2025. Drawing on Juan Jorge Michel Fariña and Eduardo Laso’s paper, "The Mise en Abyme in Cinema as a Resource for Analytic Practice," the author explores the concepts of act, acting out, and the passage to action through the film "Candela," directed by the Argentine psychoanalyst Hilda Catz, which was released in 2015 and screened during the biennial.
